  "text": "Council Decision\nof 29 June 1998\non the conclusion of an Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters amending and extending the Agreement between the European Community and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on trade in textile and clothing products\n(98/669/EC)\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular Article 113, in conjunction with Article 228(2), first sentence, thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal from the Commission,\nWhereas the Commission has negotiated on behalf of the European Community an Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters, amending and extending the existing Agreement between the European Community and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on trade in textile and clothing products;\nWhereas, pursuant to Council Decision 98/136/EC, pending the completion of procedures required for its conclusion, this Agreement has been applied on a provisional basis from 1 January 1998;\nWhereas the Agreement should be approved,\nHAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:",
