"heading": "Limit values for non-hazardous waste",
"text": "The following limit values apply to granular non-hazardous waste accepted in the same cell as stable, non-reactive hazardous waste, calculated at L/S = 2 and 10 l/kg for total release and directly expressed in mg/l for C0 (in the first eluate of percolation test at L/S = 0,1 l/kg). Granular wastes include all wastes that are not monolithic. The appropriate authority shall determine which of the test methods (see section 3) and corresponding limit values in the table should be used.\nComponents\nL/S = 2 l/kg\nL/S = 10 l/kg\nC0 (percolation test)\nmg/kg dry substance\nmg/kg dry substance\nmg/l\n*If the waste does not meet these values for DOC at its own pH, it may alternatively be tested at L/S = 10 l/kg and a pH of 7,5-8,0. The waste may be considered as complying with the acceptance criteria for DOC, if the result of this determination does not exceed 800 mg/kg (A draft method based on prEN 14429 is available).\n**The values for TDS can be used alternatively to the values for sulphate and chloride.\nAs\n0,4\n2\n0,3\nBa\n30\n100\n20\nCd\n0,6\n1\n0,3\nCr total\n4\n10\n2,5\nCu\n25\n50\n30\nHg\n0,05\n0,2\n0,03\nMo\n5\n10\n3,5\nNi\n5\n10\n3\nPb\n5\n10\n3\nSb\n0,2\n0,7\n0,15\nSe\n0,3\n0,5\n0,2\nZn\n25\n50\n15\nChloride\n10 000\n15 000\n8 500\nFluoride\n60\n150\n40\nSulphate\n10 000\n20 000\n7 000\nDOC\n380\n800\n250\nTDS\n40 000\n60 000\n—\nThe appropriate authority shall set criteria for monolithic waste to provide the same level of environmental protection given by the above limit values.",
