# 2003/422/EC: Commission Decision of 26 May 2003 approving an African swine fever diagnostic manual (Text with EEA relevance) (notified under document number C(2003) 1696), Division 3

Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 15(2)(c) of Directive 2002/60/EC, the minimum number of pigs to be sampled within the defined sampling area must allow for the detection of 5 % seroprevalence with 95 % confidence. For this purpose at least 56 animals must be sampled in each area which has been identified.
