  "text": "The Community’s financial contribution for the BSE eradication programmes referred to in Articles 24 to 42 shall be at the rate of 50 % of the cost paid by the concerned Member States for compensation to owners for the value of their animals culled and destroyed in accordance with their eradication programme, up to a maximum of EUR 500 per animal.",
