  "text": "Council Decision\nof 31 January 2005\nappointing a Spanish alternate member of the Committee of the Regions\n(2005/112/EC)\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular Article 263 thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal from the Spanish Government,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 22 January 2002 the Council adopted Decision 2002/60/EC appointing the members and alternate members of the Committee of the Regions.\n(2)\nA seat as an alternate member of the Committee of the Regions has become vacant following the resignation of Mr Carlos Javier FERNÁNDEZ CARRIEDO, notified to the Council on 29 November 2004,\nHAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:",
