  "text": "Council Decision\nof 12 July 2005\nappointing a German alternate member of the Committee of the Regions\n(2005/509/EC)\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular Article 263 thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal from the German Government,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 22 January 2002 the Council adopted Decision 2002/60/EC appointing the members and alternate members of the Committee of the Regions for the period 26 January 2002 to 25 January 2006.\n(2)\nA seat as an alternate member of the Committee of the Regions has become vacant following the expiry of the mandate of Ms Barbara BRÜNING, of which the Council was informed on 19 April 2005,\nHAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:",
