  "text": "Council Decision\nof 3 October 2005\nappointing an alternate member of the Committee of the Regions\n(2005/688/EC)\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular Article 263 thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal from the Netherlands Government,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 22 January 2002 the Council adopted Decision 2002/60/EC appointing the members and alternate members of the Committee of the Regions for the period 26 January 2002 to 25 January 2006.\n(2)\nA seat as an alternate member of the Committee of the Regions has become vacant following the resignation of Mr G.B.M. LEERS,\nHAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:",
