  "text": "Commission Decision\nof 10 July 2006\namending Appendix A to Annex VIII to the 2003 Act of Accession as regards certain establishments in the meat sector in Latvia\n(notified under document number C(2006) 3084)\n(Text with EEA relevance)\n(2006/479/EC)\nTHE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,\nHaving regard to the Act of Accession of the Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia, and in particular Annex VIII, Chapter 4, Section B, Subsection I(1), paragraph (d) thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nLatvia has been granted transitional periods for certain establishments listed in Appendix A to Annex VIII to the 2003 Act of Accession. That Appendix has been amended by Commission Decisions 2004/460/EC, 2004/472/EC and 2005/420/EC.\n(2)\nLatvia has submitted a declaration stating that all nine outstanding establishments on the list of establishments in transition in the meat sector have either completed their upgrading process and are now in full compliance with Community legislation or have ceased their activities. Those establishments should therefore be deleted from the list of establishments in transition.\n(3)\nAccordingly, it is appropriate to amend Appendix A to Annex VIII to the 2003 Act of Accession.\n(4)\nThe Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health has been informed of the measures provided for in this Decision,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:",
