  "text": "Commission Decision\nof 8 August 2006\namending Decision 2002/300/EC as regards the areas excluded from the list of approved zones with regard to Bonamia ostreae and/or Marteilia refringens\n(notified under document number C(2006) 3518)\n(Text with EEA relevance)\n(2006/559/EC)\nTHE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,\nHaving regard to Council Directive 91/67/EEC of 28 January 1991 concerning the animal health conditions governing the placing on the market of aquaculture animals and products, and in particular Article 5(3) thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nCommission Decision 2002/300/EC of 18 April 2002 establishing the list of approved zones with regard to Bonamia ostreae and/or Marteilia refringens lays down the areas in the Community considered to be free of the mollusc diseases Bonamia ostreae and/or Marteilia refringens.\n(2)\nThe United Kingdom informed the Commission by letter of May 2006 that Bonamia ostreae has been detected in the river Cleddau in Wales. The United Kingdom has established a control zone and a surveillance zone around the affected area. That area was previously considered to be free of Bonamia ostreae but can therefore no longer be regarded as free of that disease.\n(3)\nDecision 2002/300/EC should be amended accordingly.\n(4)\nThe measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:",
