# Commission Decision of 15 December 2006 implementing Council Regulation (EC) No 21/2004 as regards guidelines and procedures for the electronic identification of ovine and caprine animals (notified under document number C(2006) 6522) (Text with EEA relevance) (2006/968/EC), Division 1: The competent authority shall only approve the use of identifiers which have been tested with favorable results on their:

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

(a) conformance with the ISO standards 11784 and 11785, in accordance with the test procedures specified in point 7 of the ISO standard 24631-1; and
(b) achievement of minimum performance on reading distance as laid down in point 2, in accordance with the procedures specified in point 7 of the ISO standard 24631-3.
