  "text": "Council Decision\nof 7 May 2007\nappointing a Latvian full member and two Latvian alternate members to the Committee of the Regions\n(2007/350/EC)\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular Article 263 thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposals from the Latvian Government,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 24 January 2006 the Council adopted Decision 2006/116/EC appointing the members and alternate members of the Committee of the Regions for the period from 26 January 2006 to 25 January 2010.\n(2)\nOne member’s seat on the Committee of the Regions has become vacant following the end of the mandate of Mr Uldis AUGULIS. One seat as alternate member of the Committee of the Regions becomes vacant with the appointment of Mr Aleksandrs LIELMEŽS as a member of that Committee. One seat as alternate member of the Committee of the Regions has become vacant following the end of the mandate of Mr Gunārs LAICĀNS,\nHAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:",
