  "text": "Council Decision\nof 15 September 2008\nappointing a Slovak member and a Slovak alternate member of the Committee of the Regions\n(2008/727/EC)\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular Article 263 thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal of the Slovak Government,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 24 January 2006, the Council adopted Decision 2006/116/EC appointing the members and alternate members of the Committee of the Regions for the period from 26 January 2006 to 25 January 2010.\n(2)\nA member’s seat has become vacant following the resignation of Mr Milan MURGAŠ of the Committee of the Regions. An alternate member’s seat becomes vacant following the appointment of Mr Vladimír BAJAN as a member of the Committee of the Regions,\nHAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:",
