# Council Decision of 25 September 2008 on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Community, of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (2008/801/EC), Article 70: Denunciation

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

1. A State Party may denounce this Convention by written notification to the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Such denunciation shall become effective one year after the date of receipt of the notification by the Secretary-General.
2. A regional economic integration organisation shall cease to be a Party to this Convention when all of its member States have denounced it.
