  "text": "Council Decision\nof 30 September 2009\nappointing a new Member of the Commission of the European Communities\n(2009/725/EC, Euratom)\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular the second paragraph of Article 215 thereof,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Atomic Energy Community, and in particular the second paragraph of Article 128 thereof,\nWhereas, in a letter dated 21 September 2009, Mr Ján FIGEĽ resigned from his post as a Member of the Commission with effect from 1 October 2009. He should be replaced for the remainder of his term of office,\nHAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:",
