  "text": "The OIE is planning an International Conference on foot and mouth disease during 2010. This conference will support the actions identified in the Communication from the Commission to the Council, the European Parliament, the Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions on a new Animal Health Strategy for the EU (2007 to 2013). Therefore it is appropriate for the Community to contribute to this initiative in order to achieve a better protection from this disease.",
