  "text": "Council Decision\nof 31 March 2010\nappointing a member of the Court of Auditors\n(2010/251/EU)\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article 286(5) thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal of the Irish Government,\nHaving regard to the opinion of the European Parliament,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nThe term of office of Ms Máire GEOGHEGAN-QUINN was renewed for the period from 1 March 2006 to 29 February 2012 by Council Decision of 23 January 2006.\n(2)\nBy letter of 8 February 2010 addressed to the President of the Council, Ms Máire GEOGHEGAN-QUINN presented her resignation as Member of the Court of Auditors.\n(3)\nFollowing her resignation, it is necessary for a successor to be appointed for the remainder of her term,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:",
