Article 1

United Kingdom

Directive 2004/17/EC shall not apply to contracts awarded by contracting entities and intended to enable the following activities to be carried out:

(a)

F1production and wholesale of electricity produced from conventional sources to be carried out in the macro-zone north of Italy;
(b)

retail supply of electricity to end customers connected to the medium, high and very high voltage grid in the entire territory of the Italian Republic.

F2Directive 2004/17/EC shall apply to contracts awarded by contracting entities and intended to enable production and wholesale of electricity produced from renewable sources to be carried out in the macro-zone north of Italy.
