# Council Decision 2010/450/CFSP of 11 August 2010 appointing the European Union Special Representative for the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan, Article 1: European Union Special Representative

Mrs Rosalind MARSDEN is hereby appointed as the European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the Republic of Sudan (Sudan) and the Republic of South Sudan (South Sudan) from 9 July 2011 until 30 June 2012 . The mandate of the EUSR may be terminated earlier, if the Council so decides, on a proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (HR).
