# Council Decision 2010/461/CFSP of 26 July 2010 on support for activities of the Preparatory Commission of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO) in order to strengthen its monitoring and verification capabilities and in the framework of the implementation of the EU Strategy against Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction, Division 4: The main scope of this project is to assist local authorities to improve the operation and sustainability of the ASS network of the IMS. This includes:

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

assessment of the current status of the certified ASS,
station visits, during which a system calibration will be performed,
additional on-site training to local station operators, if feasible,
infrastructure and security upgrades, if required,
replacement of backup power systems, if required,
replacement/recapitalisation of obsolete equipment.
