  "text": "Part A, ‘Identification of animals’, of Chapter V of Appendix 5 to Annex 11 to the Agriculture Agreement is replaced by the following:\n‘A.\nIdentification of livestock\nA.\nLEGISLATION\nEuropean Union\nSwitzerland\n1.\nCouncil Directive 2008/71/EC of 15 July 2008 on the identification and registration of pigs (OJ L 213, 8.8.2008, p. 31).\n2.\nRegulation (EC) No 1760/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 July 2000 establishing a system for the identification and registration of bovine animals and regarding the labelling of beef and beef products and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 820/97 (OJ L 204, 11.8.2000, p. 1).\n1.\nOrdinance on epizootic diseases of 27 June 1995 (OFE; RS 916.401), in particular Articles 7 to 20 (registration and identification).\n2.\nOrdinance of 23 November 2005 on the database on animal movements (RS 916.404).\nB.\nSPECIAL RULES AND PROCEDURES FOR IMPLEMENTATION\n(a)\nThe Joint Veterinary Committee shall be responsible for the application of Article 4(2) of Directive 2008/71/EC.\n(b)\nOn-the-spot inspections shall be carried out under the responsibility of the Joint Veterinary Committee in accordance in particular with Article 22 of Regulation (EC) No 1760/2000, Article 57 of the Act on epizootic diseases and Article 1 of the Ordinance of 14 November 2007 on the coordination of inspections of agricultural holdings (OCI, RS 910.15).’",
