# Council Decision of 24 February 2011 on the signing, on behalf of the Union, and provisional application of the Protocol setting out the fishing opportunities and financial contribution provided for in the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe (2011/296/EU), Division 2

For a vessel to be eligible, neither the owner, the skipper nor the vessel itself must be prohibited from fishing in São Tomé and Príncipe. They must be in order vis-à-vis the São Toméan authorities insofar as they must have fulfilled all prior obligations arising from their fishing activities in São Tomé and Príncipe under fisheries agreements concluded with the European Union. Furthermore, they must comply with the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 1006/2008 on fishing authorisations.
