# Council Decision 2011/411/CFSP of 12 July 2011 defining the statute, seat and operational rules of the European Defence Agency and repealing Joint Action 2004/551/CFSP, Article 3: Definitions

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

For the purpose of this Decision, the following definitions shall apply:
(a) ‘participating Member States’ means the Member States of the European Union which participate in the Agency;
(b) ‘contributing Member States’ means the participating Member States of the European Union which contribute to a particular project or programme of the Agency.
