  "text": "In applying the general safety requirement referred to in Directive 2001/95/EC, the following shall be taken into account, as a minimum:\n(a) Stability of free-standing equipment;\n(b) Sharp edges and burrs;\n(c) Tube ends;\n(d) Squeeze, shear, rotating and reciprocating points within the accessible area;\n(e) Weights;\n(f) Equipment access and escape;\n(g) Adjustment and locking mechanisms;\n(h) Ropes, belts and chains;\n(i) Wire ropes and pulleys;\n(j) Rope and belt guides;\n(k) Pull-in points;\n(l) Gripping positions;\n(m) Integral handgrips;\n(n) Applied handgrips;\n(o) Rotating handgrips;\n(p) Electrical safety;\n(q) Care and maintenance;\n(r) Assembly instructions;\n(s) General instructions for use;\n(t) Basic biomechanical requirements;\n(u) Marking;\n(v) Warnings, especially concerning risks for children;\n(w) Immobilisation unit especially for children by locking the power out.\nIn applying the general safety requirement referred to in Directive 2001/95/EC, the following tests shall be taken into account, as a minimum:\n(a) Dimensional check;\n(b) Visual examination;\n(c) Tactile examination;\n(d) Performance test;\n(e) Manufacturer’s certificate;\n(f) Testing of pull-in points;\n(g) Test conditions;\n(h) Stability test;\n(i) Determination of breaking load of ropes, belts and chains;\n(j) Testing of flywheels;\n(k) Determination of the removing force of applied handgrips;\n(l) Testing of access/escape;\n(m) Testing of endurance load;\n(n) Testing of heart rate control mode;\n(o) Testing of accuracy of the power readouts;\n(p) Assessment of the instructions and warnings;\n(q) Test report.",
