  "text": "European Council Decision\nof 1 March 2012\nelecting the President of the European Council\n(2012/151/EU)\nTHE EUROPEAN COUNCIL,\nHaving regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 15(5) thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 1 December 2009, by European Council Decision 2009/879/EU, Mr Herman VAN ROMPUY was elected President of the European Council for the period from 1 December 2009 until 31 May 2012.\n(2)\nIn accordance with the Treaty, the holder of the office of President of the European Council may be re-elected once,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:",
