# Decision of the President of the European Commission of 29 February 2012 on the function and terms of reference of the hearing officer in certain trade proceedings (2012/199/EU), Article 17: Participation in the meetings of committees

The hearing officer may attend the committee meetings. Where appropriate, the hearing officer may reply to questions of Member States as far as these questions concern the nature of his intervention in the proceedings.
