  "text": "DRAFT\nDECISION No …/2012 OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE\nof\namending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) and Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement\nTHE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,\nHaving regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nRegulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures should be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.\n(2)\nRegulation (EC) No 1336/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 amending Regulation (EC) No 648/2004 in order to adapt it to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 should be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.\n(3)\nDirective 2008/112/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 amending Council Directives 76/768/EEC, 88/378/EEC, 1999/13/EC and Directives 2000/53/EC, 2002/96/EC and 2004/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council in order to adapt them to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 should be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.\n(4)\nCommission Regulation (EU) No 453/2010 of 20 May 2010 amending Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) should be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.\n(5)\nCommission Regulation (EU) No 440/2010 of 21 May 2010 on the fees payable to the European Chemicals Agency pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 should be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.\n(6)\nRegulation (EC) No 1272/2008 repeals Council Directive 67/548/EEC and Directive 1999/45/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with effect from 1 June 2015. Since those Directives have been incorporated into the Agreement, that Agreement should be amended, with effect from 1 June 2015, to take account of their repeal.\n(7)\nAnnexes II and XX to the EEA Agreement should be amended accordingly,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:\nDone at …, …\nFor the EEA Joint Committee\nThe President\nThe Secretaries\nto the EEA Joint Committee",
