  "text": "Council Decision 2012/739/CFSP\nof 29 November 2012\nconcerning restrictive measures against Syria and repealing Decision 2011/782/CFSP\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 29 thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 1 December 2011, the Council adopted Decision 2011/782/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Syria.\n(2)\nOn the basis of a review of Decision 2011/782/CFSP, the Council has concluded that the restrictive measures should be renewed until 1 March 2013.\n(3)\nFurthermore, it is necessary to update the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures as set out in Annex I to Decision 2011/782/CFSP.\n(4)\nFor the sake of clarity, the measures imposed under Decision 2011/273/CFSP should be integrated into a single legal instrument.\n(5)\nDecision 2011/782/CFSP should therefore be repealed.\n(6)\nFurther action by the Union is needed in order to implement certain measures,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:",
