  "text": "Compensation to owners for the value of their animals or birds slaughtered or culled, destroyed eggs and heat treated non-incubated hatching eggs:\n(a) the compensation shall not exceed the market value of the animal immediately before it was slaughtered or culled or of the eggs immediately before their destruction or heat treatment;\n(b) for slaughtered animals or birds and for heat treated non incubated hatching eggs, the salvage value, if any, shall be deducted from the compensation;\n(c) the compensation to be paid to owners for the value of the animals culled or slaughtered, of the destroyed products and heat treated non-incubated hatching eggs shall be granted within 90 days from the date of:\n(i) the slaughter or culling of the animal;\n(ii) the destruction or the heat treatment of the products; or\n(iii) the presentation of the completed claim by the owner;\n(d) Article 9(1), (2) and (3) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 883/2006 shall apply to compensation payments made after the period 90 days referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article.",
