  "text": "Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety\nTHE PARTIES TO THIS SUPPLEMENTARY PROTOCOL,\nBEING Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety to the Convention on Biological Diversity, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Protocol’,\nTAKING INTO ACCOUNT Principle 13 of the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development,\nREAFFIRMING the precautionary approach contained in Principle 15 of the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development,\nRECOGNIZING the need to provide for appropriate response measures where there is damage or sufficient likelihood of damage, consistent with the Protocol,\nRECALLING Article 27 of the Protocol,\nHAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:\nDONE at Nagoya on this fifteenth day of October two thousand and ten.",
