# Council Decision of 11 February 2014 on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union, of the Protocol against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Their Parts and Components and Ammunition, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (2014/164/EU), Article 2

The President of the Council shall designate the person(s) empowered to proceed, on behalf of the Union, to the deposit of the instrument of approval and the declaration of competence provided for in Article 17(3) of the Protocol, in order to express the consent of the Union to be bound by the Protocol.
The text of the declaration is attached to this Decision.
