# Commission Implementing Decision of 5 May 2014 on setting up Euro-Argo Research Infrastructure as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (Euro-Argo ERIC) (2014/261/EU), Division 8

The Council shall elect its Chair for a duration of three years, renewable once for a further period of three years, from its Members by a qualified majority of the Members. The vice-Chair of the Council shall be elected by qualified majority to carry out the duties of the Chair in case of her/his absence.
