Division INFRINGEMENT

Infringements of Sections 1(2), 5(1) and (2), 6(1) and (2) and 7(1) and (2) will be punishable by a fine.

Companies, etc., (legal entities) may be held liable under the provisions of Chapter 5 of the Penal Code.

Under point (1) of Section 50(1) of the Radio and Television Broadcasting Act, a programme licence issued pursuant to Section 45 of that Act may be temporarily or permanently withdrawn if the holder grossly or repeatedly infringes the Act or provisions laid down pursuant thereto.

Under point (1) of Section 50(2) of the Radio and Television Broadcasting Act, the Radio and Television Board may decide to temporarily or permanently discontinue programme services pursuant to Section 47 of the Act if the registered undertaking grossly or repeatedly infringes the Act or provisions laid down pursuant thereto.
