  "text": "The basic objectives for the ESS facility are to provide world leading neutron scattering research opportunities for European science, striving for scientific excellence and highest performance in terms of scientific output. The facility is in all its parts designed to meet these objectives and to satisfy European demand for unique, cutting edge capability and enhanced research capacity. In meeting these objectives, the ESS will provide new knowledge unattainable with other facilities or methods, will strengthen the societal impact of science, and underpin innovation in Europe.",
