THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 31(2) thereof,

Having regard to Council Decision 2010/656/CFSP of 29 October 2010 renewing the restrictive measures against Côte d'Ivoire^f1, and in particular Article 6(1) and 6(2) thereof,

Whereas:

On 29 October 2010, the Council adopted Decision 2010/656/CFSP.

The Council has carried out a review of the measures referred to in point (b) of Article 4(1) and in point (b) of Article 5(1) of Decision 2010/656/CFSP, in accordance with Article 10(3) thereof.

The Council has determined that the application of the measures referred to in point (b) of Article 4(1) and in point (b) of Article 5(1) should be maintained for five of the listed persons.

The General Court of the European Union, by its judgment on 14 January 2015 in Case T-406/13^f2, annulled Council Implementing Decision 2014/271/CFSP^f3 implementing Decision 2010/656/CFSP, in so far as it concerned Mr Marcel Gossio. Following that annulment, the entry concerning Marcel Gossio should also be removed from Annex II to Decision 2010/656/CFSP.

On 26 February 2015, the Sanctions Committee established pursuant to United Nations (UN) Security Council Resolution 1572 (2004) concerning Côte d'Ivoire removed one person from the list of persons subject to the measures imposed by paragraphs 9 and 12 of that Resolution. The entry for that person should be deleted from Annex I to Decision 2010/656/CFSP.

In addition, the Sanctions Committee updated other entries for the persons subject to the measures imposed by paragraphs 9 and 12 of UN Security Council Resolution 1572 (2004).

The list of persons subject to restrictive measures as set out in the Annexes I and II to Decision 2010/656/CFSP should therefore be amended accordingly,
