# Council Decision (EU) 2015/773 of 11 May 2015 establishing the Social Protection Committee and repealing Decision 2004/689/EC, Article 3: Membership

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

1. Each Member State and the Commission shall appoint two members of the Committee. They may also appoint two alternate members.
2. Member States and the Commission shall use their best endeavours to achieve a gender balance in the composition of the Committee.
