# Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/2272 of 15 December 2016 on the equivalence of financial markets in Australia in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council (Text with EEA relevance), Article 1

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

For the purposes of point (7) of Article 2 of Regulation (EU) No 648/2012, the financial markets authorised in Australia and set out in the Annex shall be considered equivalent to UK regulated markets as defined in Article 2(1)(13A) of Regulation (EU) 600/2014 of 15 May 2014 on markets in financial instruments .
