  "text": "Council Decision (EU) 2016/554\nof 5 April 2016\nappointing nine members, proposed by the Republic of France of the Committee of the Regions\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article 305 thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal of the French Government,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 26 January 2015, 5 February 2015 and 23 June 2015, the Council adopted Decisions (EU) 2015/116, (EU) 2015/190 and (EU) 2015/994 appointing the members and alternate members of the Committee of the Regions for the period from 26 January 2015 to 25 January 2020.\n(2)\nSix members' seats on the Committee of the Regions have become vacant following the end of the terms of office of Mr Claude GEWERC, Ms Annabelle JAEGER, Mr Charles MARZIANI, Mr Pierrick MASSIOT, Mr René SOUCHON and Mr Bernard SOULAGE.\n(3)\nThree members' seats on the Committee of the Regions have become vacant following the end of the mandates on the basis of which Mr François DECOSTER (Conseiller régional du Nord-Pas-de-Calais), Mr Pascal MANGIN (Conseiller régional d'Alsace) and Mr Stéphan ROSSIGNOL (Conseiller régional du Languedoc-Roussilon) were proposed,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:",
