  "text": "The regional conferences are designed to support governments and organisations from specific regions in preparing for RevCon3. Some regional organisations are already organising a preparatory meeting for RevCon3: League of Arab States, OSCE and Pacific Islands Forum. The Union project does not need to cover those regions. Therefore, the following five regional meetings are suggested:\nCountries from sub-regions\nRegional organisations\nRegional centre\nVenue\nWest Africa and Central Africa\nECOWAS, ECCAS, AU\nUNREC\nLome\nEast Africa and Southern Africa\nRECSA, SADC, AU\nUNREC\nLome\nCaribbean\nCARICOM\nUNLIREC\nPort of Spain\nLatin America\nOAS, UNASUR\nUNLIREC\nLima\nASEAN and South Asian States\nASEAN\nUNRCPD\nBangkok\nThis Decision will support the participation/involvement of the Small Arms Survey and UNODA in the regional conferences mentioned below with a view to presenting the findings of the thematic symposia where they correspond to the interests of the organising entities.
