Following the submission by the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria (‘Algeria’) of a formal request to revise the schedule for dismantling the tariffs for agricultural products and processed agricultural products at the fifth session of the Association Council held on 15 June 2010 and following six consultation sessions, on 11 July 2011 the Parties agreed on new provisions to modify the tariff arrangements set out in Protocols Nos 2 and 5 to the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, of the other part (‘the Association Agreement’) based on a list of 36 tariff subheadings (34 subheadings for agricultural products and two subheadings for processed agricultural products).
