Any person with a cough lasting at least two weeks AND
at least one of the following three:
Paroxysms of coughing
Inspiratory ‘whooping’
Post-tussive vomiting
OR
Any person diagnosed as pertussis by a physician
OR
Apnoeic episodes in infants
