Division Laboratory Criteria

At least one of the following four:

• Demonstration of Cryptosporidium oocysts in stool;

• Demonstration of Cryptosporidium in intestinal fluid or small-bowel biopsy specimens;

• Detection of Cryptosporidium nucleic acid in stool;

• Detection of Cryptosporidium antigen in stool.
