THE JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Framework Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of the Philippines, of the other part (the ‘Agreement’), and in particular Article 48(3) thereof,

Having regard to Article 10 of the Rules of Procedure of the Joint Committee,

Whereas:

(1)

To allow for expert level discussions on the key areas falling within the scope of the Agreement, specialised subcommittees should be established.

(2)

According to Article 8 of the Joint Committee's Rules of Procedure, the Joint Committee may decide to adopt decisions by means of a written procedure,
