Article 2 General requirements

1.

For the purposes of the Agreement, the following products shall be considered as originating in the European Union:

  1. (a)

    products wholly obtained in the European Union within the meaning of Article 3 of this Protocol;

  2. (b)

    products obtained in the European Union incorporating materials which have not been wholly obtained there, provided that such materials have undergone sufficient working or processing in the European Union within the meaning of Article 4 of this Protocol.

For the purposes of this Agreement, the following products shall be considered as originating in Côte d'Ivoire:

  1. (a)

    products wholly obtained in Côte d'Ivoire within the meaning of Article 3 of this Protocol;

  2. (b)

    products obtained in Côte d'Ivoire incorporating materials which have not been wholly obtained there, provided that such materials have undergone sufficient working or processing in Côte d'Ivoire within the meaning of Article 4 of this Protocol.
