  "text": "Table 5B\nFleet segmentation\nThis Table replaces Table 5B of Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1251.\nFor vessels less than 12 meters in the Mediterranean Sea and the Black sea, the length categories are 0 - < 6, 6 - < 12 metres. For all other regions, the length categories are defined as 0 - < 10, 10 - < 12 metres.\nVessels less than 12 meters using passive gears in the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea may be disaggregated by gear type.The fleet segment definition shall also include an indication of the supra-region and, if available, a geographical indicator to identify vessels fishing in outermost regions and exclusively outside EU waters.\nLength classes (LOA)\nActive Vessels\n0 - < 10 m0 - < 6 m\n10 - < 12 m6 - < 12 m\n12 - < 18 m\n18 - < 24 m\n24 - < 40 m\n40 m or larger\nUsing ‘Active’ gears\nBeam trawlers\nDemersal trawlers and/or demersal seiners\nPelagic trawlers\nPurse seiners\nDredgers\nVessel using other active gears\nVessels using Polyvalent ‘active’ gears only\nUsing ‘Passive’ gears\nVessels using hooks\nDrift and/or fixed netters\nVessels using Pots and/or traps\nVessels using other Passive gears\nVessels using Polyvalent ‘passive’ gears only\nUsing Polyvalent gears\nVessels using active and passive gears\nInactive vessels",
