  "text": "Council Decision (CFSP) 2020/250\nof 25 February 2020\namending Decision (CFSP) 2018/1248 appointing the European Union Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 33 and Article 31(2) thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nOn 18 September 2018, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2018/1248 appointing Ms Susanna TERSTAL as the European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the Middle East Peace Process (MEPP). The EUSR's mandate is to expire on 29 February 2020.\n(2)\nThe mandate of the EUSR for the MEPP should be extended for a further period of 12 months and a new financial reference amount for the period from 1 March 2020 to 28 February 2021 should be established.\n(3)\nThe EUSR for the MEPP will implement the mandate in the context of a situation which may deteriorate and could impede the achievement of the objectives of the Union's external action as set out in Article 21 of the Treaty,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:",
