Article 9

In the light of experience, the Commission shall, not later than two years after the date referred to in Article 11(1), submit to the Council a proposal containing appropriate measures leading towards the abolition of any remaining barriers to, or distortions of, the free movement of proprietary medicinal products, so as to bring this sector closer into line within the normal conditions of the internal market.

The Council shall decide on the Commission proposal not later than one year after its submission.
