# Council Directive of 4 December 1989 on the limitation of noise emission from civil subsonic jet aeroplanes (89/629/EEC), Article 3

Member States shall take the necessary measures to ensure that the objective set out in Article 1 (1) is not circumvented by, for example, any form of leasing agreement.
