# Directive 98/70/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 October 1998 relating to the quality of petrol and diesel fuels and amending Council Directive 93/12/EEC, Division 5

The greenhouse gases taken into account for the purposes of point 1 shall be CO 2 , N 2 O and CH 4 . For the purpose of calculating CO 2 equivalence, those gases shall be valued as follows:
