  "text": "When a coordinated monitoring programme is established, at least the following characteristics of the programme must be defined:\nits purpose;\nits duration;\nits geographical area or region;\nthe zoonoses and/or zoonotic agents concerned;\nthe type of samples and other data units requested;\nminimum sampling schemes;\nthe type of laboratory testing methods;\nthe tasks of competent authorities;\nthe resources to be allocated;\nthe estimation of its costs and how they will be covered; and\nthe method and time of reporting the results.",
