  "text": "1.\nRed cell preparations\nThe components listed in points 1.1 to 1.8 may be further processed within blood establishments and must be labelled accordingly\n1.1\nRed cells\n1.2\nRed cells, buffy coat removed\n1.3\nRed cells, leucocyte-depleted\n1.4\nRed cells, in additive solution\n1.5\nRed cells, buffy coat removed, in additive solution\n1.6\nRed cells, leucocyte-depleted, in additive solution\n1.7\nRed cells, apheresis\n1.8\nWhole blood\n2.\nPlatelet preparations\nThe components listed in points 2.1 to 2.6 may be further processed within blood establishments and must be labelled accordingly\n2.1\nPlatelets, apheresis\n2.2\nPlatelets, apheresis, leucocyte-depleted\n2.3\nPlatelets, recovered, pooled\n2.4\nPlatelets, recovered, pooled, leucocyte-depleted\n2.5\nPlatelets, recovered, single unit\n2.6\nPlatelets, recovered, single unit, leucocyte-depleted\n3.\nPlasma preparations\nThe components listed in 3.1 to 3.3 may be further processed within blood establishments and must be labelled accordingly.\n3.1\nFresh-frozen plasma\n3.2\nFresh-frozen plasma, cryoprecipitate-depleted\n3.3\nCryoprecipitate\n4.\nGranulocytes, apheresis\n5.\nNew components\nQuality and safety requirements for new blood components must be regulated by the competent national authority. Such new components must be notified to the European Commission with a view to Community action",
